Haw can I write into ReadOnly files with ZwCreateFile?
I try a lot of flag combinations, but it seems it doesnt work
What should I patch?

Succinct Jamey, but perhaps not totally helpful. Either he’s misunderstood something fundamental (the point or read-only files is they cannot be written to!) or he is assuming that ZwCreateFile will bypass lots of interesting checks. My immediate thought was that this is Monroe spelt V I R U S… but perhaps Ali would like to explain what (s)he is doing and why he thinks it could possibly be inteded to work!

The solution is to modify the file attributes ,modify the file then
restore file attributes.But I guessed there is a less time consuming method
(as it is in win9x ); that’s why I ask this stupid question

OK, my apologies. I’m just paranoid…
Seriously though NT has this funny thing called security which is by and large absent from 9x. A lot of short cuts of that type won’t be present on NT. Those of you who know some please don’t publish them here!
