Just for your information, the !New !Improved winhec version of the W2K DDK
will not install on NT4 systems.
Anybody have any other information about what else has changed in this
release?

Mark:
Some more “features” of the new DDK:
When building a checked build of my driver the binary size was approx. 1/3
of the size of building with the RTM DDK. Since source level debugging
stopped working I assumed compiler optimizations were being run. The DDK
support said this was a “maybe”. I tried turning them off in my SOURCES
file to no avail.
Moral of story is, I’ve told everyone in my department not to use this “new
and improved DDK”. I’m tempted to do the same to the whole division.

hmmmm…I don’t have any problems with this DDK.
Perhaps I am doing something wrong
But, seriously, I also can’t figure out what
the improvements are…even if I can’t see any
deteriorations on my side.
