Hi all,
following the last posting, with further experimentation windows NT 4.0
driver, I am able to install and load the driver using “INSTDRV” ddk service
program, and unload and uninstall the driver using the same “INSTDRV”…
one info i found out is after i do the uninstall, if i reboot the driver,
again i get the same BSOD with message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL…
i use the command
instdrv mydevobjname remove
i would like to know form nt 4 gurus, whether should I remove the registry
entry also…
why this BSOD happens even after uninstalling the windows nt 4.0 driver…
I checked in the unload routine, I am taking care to release memory,
interrupt resource, deleting symbolic link, delete device object…
so, what are the chances even after unistalling the driver, the same driver
attempts to load and
what are the chances it can get BSOD…
can somebody throw some light on this pls…
thanx,
ShivaP
