I just noticed that if I have debug enabled and test signing turned off on an 8.1 system I do not see the test mode watermark on the desktop. As soon as I set a break point in the debugger the test mode watermark shows up. It also shows up if I restart the system and the debugger is connected. Bcdedit still shows test signing is off.
Is this an intentional change in Windows 8? I do not see this on Windows 7.
Is this documented anywhere?
