This is regarding the support of the “connected standby” feature of windows 8.1 onwards. Does the miniport driver need to put the device in the lowest power state using the higher protocol layer(NVM express) constructs or just the pci bus driver will put the device in the D3{cold, hot} state that would be sufficient for the device to support the connected standby state. Has any one implemented the connected standby support for the storage device.
