Hi ,
I am trying to set up windbg for kernel mode debugging.
I tested the connection from my host to target machine with hyper
terminal and it works fine.
The target machine has been booted in debugging enabled (checked that
with kdbgctrl.exe).
When I try to break into target machine using Debug | Break nothing
happens.
Is there anything I need to do?
Config info
I am logged on to both machines as myself.
Both machines are running XP professional SP1 free build.

Hi
I know Elior has managed to set up the debugger across two machines correctly.
Can you please ask him xxxxx@agrosafe.com
If you don’t get a satisfied answer from him, please let me know.

Regards,
Shai Erera
Hi,
I had a breakthough a few minutes back.
I was able to finally get the windbg on my host break into the target
machine.
The problem seems to have been the /debugport option.
I have only 1 com port on my target box and it is named COM2.
I removed the /debugport from the boot.ini and it worked.
Thanks
Prakash
