Sounds silly, but it can happen. Given a device that sends data of a given
length with “sideband” information, it is possible to have a transfer, such
as an acknowledgement, that is contained totally in the sideband
information, and as a consequence does not have a databuffer or data length.
Other than scrapping GetScatterGather for AllocateAdapterChannel, how is
this done?
