Hi,
I have been developing a WDM USB driver for Windows 2000 and 98. I have
been doing most of my developing on Windows 2000, and basically using 98
just to be sure that it works under 98.
The current driver is working fine under 2000, and will work once under
98. What I mean is that I can boot the machine, turn on the device, load
the driver and use it fine. If I unplug the USB device or turn it off,
then turn it back on the driver gets in an unusable state. It shows up
in the correct Place in the 98 DeviceManager, but has an explanation
Point. When I check its status through the Device Manager it says
" NTKERN.VXD device loader for this device could not load the
device driver (Code 2)"
Them it says, to fix this re-install the driver
Anyone have any ideas about this ?
Is there a reference anywhere on the NTKERN error codes, I have very
little experience with Windows 98 so any pointers would greatly be
appreciated.
Thanks !
