Is the kernel the same for XP and 2000/2003, e.g.
I/O manager, PnP manager, Power managemement, driver
interfaces? I.e. are XP drivers and W2K drivers the
same? I have written W2K driver but am looking at a XP
driver contract so I need to know.

Essentially the same. There are additional kernel service routines for XP
and 2003, but unless someone has a driver that will only be needed for a
later OS code to 2000 and your driver will work for all of these.
