WDK has been released?

Is the WDK RTM v.6000 posted on the Connect site the actual RTM version?

Regards,
–PA

Really? I’m not on the connect program for WDK, but this means that Vista
probably went RTM already (build 6000, 6 as the NT version)?

“6” as in “marketing cleverness”. The last public build was 5600, and I
know they haven’t done 400 builds since then. It’s just their penchant
for round numbers. Windows 95 was released as build 950, Windows 98 was
release as build 1998, and Windows XP was build 2600, despite the fact
that the real build numbers weren’t anywhere close to those.

Windows 2000 was build 2195, which was probably honest…

There was a 5744 and 5840 release of the WDK after 5600. They had always
said they would ramp up the number to 6000. Note: the WDK was RTM Friday,
Vista is rumored to be RTM real soon now.

In case you didn’t notice, Windows Vista was released to manufacturing yesterday. So, Vista’s “done” – Now it’s on to S03 SP2, LH Server, and Vista SP1 (not necessarily in that order).

As already mentioned, the final WDK is available on Connect, and we should see see it available for download on MSDN “soon” (that is, in the next month or so).

Cannot see it on Connect. In the download list, the only item dated in
November are pictures from the Vista release party :-/
Am I doing something wrong?
