A search of this forum has Tim Roberts and Ivan Bruglio insisting that
despite the extensive admonitions that wddm and xpdm display drivers
cannot coexist in vista and beyond, they can. Here:

Unfortunately I derailed that discussion into an irrelevant discussion
over the etymology of the word ‘etherogeneous’. Now I actually need to
get this configuration to work (currently in win7 only) and there
appears to be some trick that I am missing that makes two physical
adapters, one xpdm one wddm both functional.
Any clues?
