I have enabled “Special Pool” for a proprietary ndis driver and then started a few tests on the software bus’s other virtual device. Those tests performed noticeably slower, particularly when many allocations took place. Is this acceptable? I am not familiar with the internals of the verifier nor do I know if this is only an XP issue.
Yes, this is expected. Turning on verifier will slow things down.
