using SLIP to connect a W2k server to an unix box using a serial link

Hi,
I wish to connect a PC running W2k server (SP4) to a
device running an unix like OS (eCos) by using SLIP
protocol directly without any modem, just a serial (or
USB) cable.
The device is the SLIP server and using Linux to
etablish the connection, i use the following commands:
slattach -l -L -p slip -s115200 /dev/ttyUSB0 &
ifconfig sl0 192.168.1.1 pointtopoint 192.168.1.2 mtu
1006 &

How to do the same things under Windows ?

Using the network configuration (connect directly to
another computer, Guest, communication cable between
two computer (COMx), for all user) i need a user name
and password… then a new “modem” is added to my
configuration (Communications cable between two
computer) and Windows is waiting for the device to
hang up… This shows that windows is trying to handle
the connection as if a real modem is installed Then it
will try to authenticate.

After comparing the two different ways of setting, I
came to the conclusion that RAS under Windows match
the Dial-up IP (DIP) under Unix, that is implemented
to manage a modem whereas in my case i have a direct
connection.
My wish is to use SLIP protocol directly without the
need of RAS like under Unix, what must i do ?
configuration setting ? make a new driver or modem ?
