USB 2.0 device - can be certified in Win8?

Hi, I have a device to be certified in Win8. All tests are passed except xHCI tests, which are failed saying “device should be connected behind xHCI”.
But USB2.0 will not be detected under xHCI right? they are always detected under EHCI here.

Can we really certify USB2.0 device for Win8/Win8.1?

Thanks

Question 1: Do you have an xHCI/eHCI controller on the system?

If not, get one.

Question 2: Have you tries running the tests with your usb device connected
to the xHCI/eHCI controller?

Yes Roscoe

  1. My system has xHCI and eHCI controllers
  2. Yes but, when I connect USB 2.0 device they are detected under eHCI.
When I connect USB3.0 devices they are detected under xHCI

And your using the inbox Microsoft driver? Not the manufacturer driver?

(FYI we make a USB 1.1 device HCKed under win 8.1, so understand this pain)

Yes… But what driver are you running on the xHCI controller? The inbox
Microsoft driver or the controller manufacturer driver?
