(Urgent help needed) USB video class device on windows 2000

hi everyone.

i have a USB imaging device which works on USB video class specs. i want
this device to work with Windows 2000.
what i have understood by far is

  1. windows 2000 doesn’t support USB video class.
2)windows 2000 does provide kernel streaming services which are required for
    using imaging and video devices.

if i build my own USB video class Driver ,and export the streaming data to
kernel streaming services would it work.
i need suggestions weather it is possible or not and if it is possible, how
complicated it might be.

Are you sure you need to support win2k? it’s market share is at this point miniscule

Seriously, you expect an answer in half an hour. No thanks. I don’t know all that much about KS in win2k, but I would think it should be feasible, but I could not tell you any of the gory gotchas to watch out for

You got a ver uninformed and speculative answer, i would by no means treat it with enough credibility to base a final answer onit

Yes, it would work. You’re talking about a 2 or 3 month project.

You are right. I did answer a question, but it was not really the
question you asked.

Windows 2000 included “kernel streaming version 1”, which meant
stream-class drivers. Most video devices today use AVStream, which is
“kernel streaming version 2”. That was first included with Windows XP,
but you can also use an AVStream driver in Windows 2000 and Windows 98
as long as you install DirectX 8.

I apologize that I did not read your question carefully enough.
