Hi all
sorry if this is answered elsewhere - I’ve been searching but found nothing yet.
I need to update an LWF driver.
Is it possible to just update the driver somehow or do I need to remove it and reinstall it (which I currently do).
thanks
Adrien
In my experience the only way to ‘update’ a NetService driver package is to remove the previous one and install the new one.
This is really to bad because if you NetService is referenced by something other than how you installed (OBO_USER or whatever) removing it is, well, challenging.
Since INetCfg does not have an ‘upgrade’ or ‘update’ or ‘replace’ only ‘install’ and ‘remove’, simulating ‘upgrade’ is an exercise in [repeated] ‘remove’ for each OBO reference and then an ‘install’ to put it [them] back.
Good Luck,
