Symantec NAV

Can someone from Symantec contact me, please, regarding an interop
issue? (this will also be an issue for many products using the
SwapBuffers sample).

You don’t have the contact information for Symantec technical support? Or
are trying to avoid a $45+ technical support fee?

More likely, he wants to resolve the problem, not discuss it with a
first level support engineer reading from a script (don’t get me wrong -
I understand why companies use first level support engineers reading
from a script, since it is a sorting process. Heck, when you contact
OSR support you get terrific first level support engineers, but then
again, you aren’t paying $45 for the support call, but that’s just a
different kind of sorting process…)

This is one of the reasons for people to attend PlugFest - it allows you
to build up contacts for situations just like this.

Hehe, I can confirm this. Sometimes is worth a try to ask here,
maybe you just get lucky and someone from the desired company
is in this list. Although you must bother all other people here with
a question that has no value for them.

L.

Indeed. In fact didn’t we recently collaborate on an interop issue
ourselves  Personally I didn’t see a problem with your asking and we
were able to resolve the problem very quickly.
