Are there any known issues that would become a show stopper in writing
an AHCI compliant Storport miniport for Windows Home Server? An MS KB
search reveals many updated versions of Storport, both in the form of
service packs and individual updates such as
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932755/en-us Which version of
Storport would make the best starting point for this application?

Most of the storport issues are related to high end external storage -
for example the cluster related kb article cited. In general storport is
a better choice than scsiport, and is or will soon be the only supported
storage hba port driver that you are going to get a logo for, as msft
has been strongly encouraging us out here in the hinterland to only use
storport for quite a while.
