Hi,
The following scenario is observed while sharing the directories and
changing the drive letters.
I have a folder called test in D:
I’m sharing this folder.
Now I change the drive letter to E: and restart the system.
The test directory is not shared.
I noticed that the shared info are getting stored in the registry
under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Sevices/lanmanserver/share
s
Here the drive letter to which the shared directory test is mapped to
D: is not changing to E:.
Can anyone help me out how to obtain the shares back even after
changing the drive letter.Where is the share info geting stored
actually?Why is the update not happening properly after changing the
drive letter?
