Hi,
We have a scanner running fine with SCSI under win95/98 (ASPI), WinNT/2000
(SPTI) and MAC (SIM) and with SBP2 (Firewire/1394) under Mac OS9.
The SBP2 scanner installs fine under Win2000 as an imaging device and says
it is on port “\.\SCANNER0” (as a SCSI scanner it appears on port “\.
\SCSI2:”).
But I get lasterrorcode 50 = “ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED” when calling
DeviceIoControl() with IOCTL_SCSI_GET_INQUIRY_DATA under Win2000 ???
The Microsoft documentation says nothing special has to be done to get an
IEEE 1394 Scanner that uses SBP-2 to work under Win2000 (see
“www.microsoft.com/hwdev/1394”)
Thanks,
Sune
