RIS kernel debugging

Does any one know how to attach a kernel debugger to a RIS (Remote
installtion) client? I’ve tried the obvious which was to apply a regular
OS loader kernel debug, described in the kd help file, on the RIS OS image
directory without any luck.

Thanks Dori

Are you asking how to have kernel debugger be invoked when the kernel starts
as part of a RIS install? Or are you asking how to debug RIS’s loading of
the OS? If you are asking the former (i.e. RIS loads the initial kernel
image and kernel debugger connects), see my article “Driver Installation
During Windows Setup” at http://www.osronline.com/. I document how to
modify the system setup files to set the debugging flags.
