Requiring a single source, Verisign, for certificates to sign Vista 64 bit drivers

All,

I just submitted a feedback report on the issue of single sourcing
certificates for 64bit Vista driver signing. If you are a beta tester, I
would suggest you look up the feedback report and comment and vote on it.

I just voted, to make it easier for people the report number is 42875.

Thanks Don. At the time I submitted my post it had not been assigned a
feedback number. I would put it in the subject line now, but I fear that
would then produce duplicate threads and we get enough of those via normal
posting

Well, I did get a reply from the Windows Beta Team today, telling me that:
“Yes, drivers for 64 bit Vista must be signed”. They totally ignored the
primary point of the post being that the INDUSTRY is objecting to
sole-sourcing Verisign as the CA.
