I am working on a project in which I have to do printer monitoring.
And as a part of it I have to store the data which gets printed in a print job.
I have two questions regarding this:
- When does the spool file gets generated (I know that this happens before
StartDocW API call) and which module or process generates it.(* it must be
through GDI calls). - On my system the spool file is generated in RAW format. So it means that
when the spool file is generated the rendering also happens at this time, is
this correct thinking? So, in this case the Print Processor then does not need
to convert the data.
Plese help me about this since I am new to printers and just getting
acquainted with it.
