Regarding IoCreateFileSpecifyDeviceObjectHint

Hi,

I am trying to open a file stream using a HANDLE to file as the
RootDirectory within the OBJECT_ATTRIBUTES for
IoCreateFileSpecifyDeviceObjectHint. I am using : for
ObjectName in OBJECT_ATTRIBUTES and I am getting STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_INVALID.
Any suggestion.

Thanks,
Vishnu.

You should put relative path in object name then.

Fair warning: you cannot use the relative path when you are trying to
work over the network. It doesn’t work reliably.
