Anything which makes a potential run-time bug into a compile-time bug is a
Good Thing, and C++ has more features in this direction than C – thus, it
is a better language.

What about C with lint? It allows more checking than any C++ compiler;
strong type checking is only one of features. Sure, it (I mean PC-lint here)
works also for C++.
