A good idea is to study the OS from the OS itself and its developer docs, not
from theoretic books.

Isn’t it better to have (at least some) theoretical background and *then* study a real OS? For example, it is good to understand synchronization concepts and classic problems solutions (producer/consumer etc.) before one digs into implementation details.
