Have you loaded any Driver in your system with Softice???

I have not personally seen this error, but have you tried using a
different display driver?

SoftIce, if configured to load at boot time, causes page fault at
this point:

NTICE: Successfully patch NT display driver = ati2draa.dll
Break due to page fault (0Eh). Fault = 0000h
