Why not? Why forcing the hardware vendors to have 2 parallel driver DLLs?
OpenGL is conceptually a more high-level API then D3D and thus can be based on
D3D.
If yes , this change will break more programs then the whole bunch of sorry
ass developers .
How? This will not even break the videocard drivers. The ICDs will become
unnecessary, replaced by MS’s OpenGL-over-D3D wrapper.
