RE: Power Management & Debugging on a single PC with SOFT ICE

You can use SIRemote to drive a SoftICE target from a remote host. You can
run it over serial or TCP/IP. Or, if you have DriverStudio 3.0, you can use
Visual SoftICE.

Subject: [ntdev] Power Management & Debugging on a single PC with
SOFTICE

This driver is for Windows2k/XP. When my driver is loaded, Powering down
to Standby mode is happening properly. But when powering up from Standby,
the PC starts and the code breaks into softice at this point. Now since my
keyboard is still not enabled, i cannot set things going. When i disable
softice and do the same, my PC restarts.

Can someone tell me a best way to debug this problem? Something
like seeing my DbgPrint statements etc…

Any will the system power up into PowerSystemWorking irrespective of
what state it is in?

TIA for any help,
Giri.
