RE: [NtDev] PCI device driver for XP

None that I have seen, if you use the 2000 DDK to build your drivers. As a
point of fact, the XP environment is recommended for debugging both 2000 and
XP drivers.

Subject: [ntdev] PCI device driver for XP

Are there any compatibility issues between windows 2000 and windows XP for
PCI devices? It is mentioned on the windows XP website that it provides
enhanced support for PCI buses. What does this mean?
Would a PCI device driver for windows 2000 work on XP directly?

Also, can anybody tell me about the difficulty level involved in writing a
PCI device driver for XP, (how many man months it would take and the
resources available etc) ?

Thanks and Regards
Namita
