Try frigging the IDT directly. I don’t know how much a PC can handle, but
Linux is reported to be way faster than NT as far as interrupt latency is
concerned, so I imagine that NT gives before the machine limits are hit.

I suspect NT will not come close to this. NT is not exactly know for fast
interrupt handling, and this is probably pushing the limits of the memory
bus anyhow.
