Re:Is there any active drivers when system show "it is safe to shut down"

Hi,
I havent worked much into real physical drivers and
hence my experience is very limited.
But thinking a little tells me that at least the
keyboard driver is loaded when “it is safe to shut
down” screen is shown.
I concluded this because when we type a ctrl-alt-del
( when the sutdown screen is up )the system goes for a
reboot , hence the keyboard driver must be active.

Please note that this is just a wild conclusion.
please comment on it freely and no flames please.

Actually, I would believe just the opposite. If the driver were active, it
would catch the sequence and act upon it. Restarting is a function of the
BIOS that is hooked and/or overridden by NT. Just my thoughts on the
matter.

But a processor can be reset by issuing simple commands:

mov al,0FEh
out 64h,al
