Once attached as a debugger you cannot detach. You must wait until the process terminates normally.

I have build a custom debugger for user mode Debug
Messages enumerated in DEBUG_EVENT structure.
As with other debuggers like VC6.0 debugger. The
programme I attach to the debugger is also terminated
upon debugger termination. I am using
DebugActiveProcess
WaitfordebugEvent
ContinuedebugEvent
API’s . I want the process to be continuing after its
debugger is terminated how can i do it .
