We have pretty big projects on .dsp files, no problem, including workspaces
with lots of subprojects.

From what I heard, MS builds the whole OS using BUILD.
So, BUILD is much more suitable to huge projects then IDE. And nothing
suprising - ever tried several .DSPs merged to one .DSW? You will end
with absolute pathnames in the makefiles in most cases due to nasty
IDE bug.
