RE: calling DriverEntry explicitly

It depends on what code section DriverEntry is placed in. If it is in the
INIT section, after the driver loads, the code is discarded.

Is the drive you are calling your driver? If not, how will you know if the
DriverEntry of some other driver is idempotent or not; i.e. has it already
been called and will calling it a second time be safe?

Maybe you could explain what you are trying to accomplish.
