Hi,
I’ve written a Bus Filter for Windows 2000 and I’ve come across a
problem that I’m wondering if anybody else has seen or maybe can explain.
My bus filter is Lower filter to the PCMCIA.SYS bus driver and an Upper
filter to the PCI.SYS driver. I can adjust the resource requirements
when I receive the IRP_MN_FILTER_RESOURCE_REQUIREMENTS just fine up
until when I try to get more that 0x300 bytes of I/O space. At that
point somebody (PCMCIA.SYS, PCI.SYS or the PnP Manager) gets mad and
stops trying to enumerate the devices behind the bridges. So far I’ve
been unable to determine who it is that is not happy with the needed
I/O space or what I can do about it.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to what may be going on and/or
how I might get around it. If needed I can supply much more detailed
information.
Thanks for your time,
Robert Rother
