Hello all,
I connect two Windows 8 PC over a USB3.0 crossover cable.
Both of them xHCI Supported.
But, when I connect them over a usb 3.0 crossover cable, device manage show a message that “Unknown USB device(Port Reset Fail)).”
Is it mean that I have to install some driver or something else?
Having an XHCI controller does not guarantee that you have debug support. Intel made the debug silicon optional in the XHCI spec.
You must have an XHCI controller with debug support in the target machine.
If you run usbview.exe (ships in the debugger package) on the target machine, and it does not report that the XHCI controller has debugging support, then USB3 debugging will not work.
Joe.
