pls help

Hi !
I want to send error messages from some disk driver
source code to the OS(Win2k) as and when required.
The error messages may be thrown after booting the
machine and entering username and password.
Please let me know how i would programetically handle
this ? Is there any standard function ?

Driver must never show any UI except for extremely hard conditions which can hinder the whole OS from working.
For this, use IoRaiseInformationalHardError.

Hi !
Windows2k provides the feature of F6 hot key option
to install third party driver during installation of
windows 2k .For that we need some inf file, oem file
and the driver which we want to install. Now the
question is :
Is it possible to install my driver properly without
Microsoft device ID using the F6 option ? Is there any
relation between the Device ID and the Driver’s
registry operation ?
