Hi all,
Description: -
Hardware: pcmcia ata flash memory card of 10MB
OS : Windows 2000
On insertion of the card into the pcmcia socket, the win2k os treats
it as a default disk drive.
Requirement: -
The pcmcia ata flash disk is to be treated as 10MB sized segmented
memory locations of each segment of 512bytes. so i understand that, if
i program, the command block registers of the PCMCIA ATA controller,
in LBA mode, i will be able to achieve this.
for this, I loaded my win2k which can get the memory ,I/O, interrupt
resource allocated to the card…but when i install my driver, it
says, no resource allocated to the card.
according to the spec, the command block registers, can be mapped to
memory resource or I/O resource, instead neither of the resource are
allocated…
even logconfigoverride doesn’t help much, as i allocated the required
2k of memory, but it doesn’t perform the proper R/W access…
Question: -
Can anybody tell me if I am going wrong somewhere in my
understanding or any way how i can do the bottom line thing of
accessing the flash memory access as sector-offset access, with each
sector of 512 bytes…
thanx,
Shiva P
