OSR FX2 and WDK sample

Hi,
I’ve just bought your card USB-FX-2 to start a selfmade formation about UDB driver, I’ve downloaded all the sample from the WDK , all the solution compile well but it is impossible to install the driver.
For example , if I take the HID client sample driver , I change the configuration for a Win7 I make the compilation with no errors , if I plug the card and I try to install the driver I’ve just compiled, each time it says that no driver are available for my system on the compiled directory.
I’ve the same problem for all the project.
The card apperas in the control panel as OSR USB-FX2 LK as I’ve an “H” on the LCD and the bargraph is 80% ON.
Could you help me to start
Thanks

Have you updated the vendor ID and hardware ID in the inx file ? In any case
I would not expect a HID sample from the WDK to suit the \usb\OsrUsbFx2
device without modification.

Did you not try to build and install the sample in the usb\osrusbfx2\final
directory ? When I received the package I compiled that sample and got it up
and running straight away (on 64-bit Windows a driver signature is required
though).

Hi,
In the HID client sample the HID and VID are good
%Fx2HidDeviceName%=Fx2Hid_Install, HID\VID_0547&PID_1002&Col03
%Fx2HidDeviceName%=Fx2Hid_Install, HID\VID_0547&PID_1002

Which sample do you talking about, I’ve only a card in my packet.
All the sample I’ve came from microsoft.
Thanks

The WDK7 comes with several step-by-step samples and a final for the
OsrUsbFx2 device which you can find in the \src\usb\osrusbfx2 directory.
What WDK version are you using ?

I use the last one I’ve downloaded it last week . It is the N? 8
I don’t find sample in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.0" directory

All win8 samples are online, no longer in the kit media

The sample compile correclty but the driver is not recognized by windows when I try to install the driver for my card.
Thanks

Hoe are you attempting to install the driver? What does the setupapi log say?

I put “c:\WDKSample\HID client sample driver\C++\Win7Release” for directory and I include subdirectory.
Windows tell me that he don’t find any driver for my peripheral in this directory .
In the driver directory I’ve

Your inf is matching against a hid HW w, HID\VID_0547&PID_1002, you are trying to install on the parent device enumerated by USB, HW id USB\VID_0547&PID_1002.

Thanks
But I don’t understand what it means.
So I have to change something in the driver because I can’t change in the card.
The driver source code is the microsoft one .
I suppose I have to replace
%Fx2HidDeviceName%=Fx2Hid_Install, HID\VID_0547&PID_1002&Col03
%Fx2HidDeviceName%=Fx2Hid_Install, HID\VID_0547&PID_1002

%Fx2HidDeviceName%=Fx2Hid_Install, USB\VID_0547&PID_1002&Col03
%Fx2HidDeviceName%=Fx2Hid_Install, USB\VID_0547&PID_1002

I make a try
Thanks

Same result if I make the change .

You need to understand what infs do before tying to brute force your way through this.

Ok you’re right I’m a little bit brutal.
I’ve found some explanation on the net , but do you have a fantastic link to help me ?
Is there some seminar in Europe : France for example ?
Thanks you
