NT style miniport driver in XP - Doesn't show up Volume Label in Explorer

Hi all,

I have a SCSI miniport driver to create virtual CD drives. It is a NT style driver running on NT, 2000, and XP. It works fine in NT and 2000. Whenever I insert/eject a CD into/from virtual drive, windows NT/2000 explorer is updating the changes correctly. And showing the correct volume label in explorer windows.

But in Windows XP, Explorer is not showing volume label. And shows mounted file system name as “Unknown” (RAW). But I am able to open any file from the drive, run any executables, and do any other operations.

I can, however, see volume label from Computer Management -> Disk Management and from DOS window.

I searched the Internet but couldn’t find any information to solve this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
