I noticed there are a few discussion about this issue last year. The
reason I bring it out, is that I am still not clear do we need set this
IrpStackSize in lanmanServer’s parameter in NT2k server or
Srv/lanmanserver will figure this out if the filter driver is loaded
before lanmanserver does? In my NT2K server, some product has set up
IrpStackSize to 0xb, since then I can not load my filter driver(client can
not access server with no enough server storage error) unless I either
delete that entry or add the value to 0xc. So what’s the recommended way
to do this so we can have the best interoperability among all the
different filters? Second question, for NT4 server with SP6, what’s the
recommended way to do this in order to avoid this killer error?
Thanks
Paul
It looks like to me you install network modules after upgrading to SP6. You may need to first enable networking then applying SP6. I recall it is a known Microsoft Bug.
