Hi
My miniport on Windows 2000 platform is calling NdisMIndicateStatus with
NDIS_STATUS_MEDIA_DISCONNECT followed by NdisMIndicateStatusComplete to
report a disconnected cable.
But somehow neither the Windows Desktop nor the network properties shows it
is disconnected as it always shows the connection as connected. However
after the miniport report a disconnect, IPaddress on this interface is shown
as 0.0.0.0 which means that the driver’s call to NdisMIndicateStatus
reaching protocol driver.
Any idea what could be missing?
Thanks

Do you handle OID_GEN_MEDIA_CONNECT_STATUS?

Thanks Corem/Bryan
That was the problem. Driver was reporting OID_GEN_MEDIA_CONNECT_STATUS with
NdisMediaStateConnected.
