Ndis driver medium specification

Hi All,

I am writing a NDIS NIC driver for a ehternet pcmcia card.
In this driver , i have specified the medium as NdisMedium802_3 but i think
i am also receiving NdismediumDix. .
Currently as i found in some docs, based on the length field and max len of
1500 bytes (ethernet max len), i am ffiltering out the packets with length
greater than 1500 bytes. Is this OK to filter to out these packets like
this.
Any ideas, links would be highly appreciated…

NTDDNDIS.H gives the answer: NdisMediumDix is NOT a real medium. It is
defined only for convenience.

Do not perform the filtering that you have currently implemented. Pass on
both types of packets without filtering.

Good luck,
