I don’t want to receive ARP packets in my Ndis miniport driver. Is there
a way to disable it in windows (2k, nt or 98) ?
regards,
Hassan

Short Answer: No, short of disabling receipt of all broadcast messages.

I don’t know the complete detail but when PPP is running over ethernet
I believe ARP is not needed then. My situation is similar in the sense that
though I am not running PPP but I know my connections are point to point and
therefore don’t need ARP as such.

Hassan.
P.S. Peter, can we have some article in NT Insider specifically dealing with
writing NDIS drivers…if writing another book is not on your agenda. I am
waiting for the latter though.
