I know NTBACKUP uses Microsoft tape format to write
data on tape. On Windows NT 4.0 it uses MTF 1.0. Does
anyone know what is the version of MTF on Windows
2000? Still 1.0? Anybody has the exact specification
about Microsoft Tape Format? I mean the exact data
format on the tape media.
Thanks.

It is a huge file (over 5 meg). I downloaded it a few years ago from the
Microsoft Website, so maybe check the obvious (www.micrsoft.com).

I don’t need the NTBACKUP utility. I just need the MTF
specification. I’ve browsed the microsoft website. But
couldn’t find any valuable info.
Anyway, thanks for the reply.
