mf.sys is modifying the device capabilties

Hi …

I have a problem in Windows Xp with the mf.sys.

I have a pci epress based multi-serial ports card. The serial ports are
enumerated under the multi function device.when the port is being enumerated
it is querying for the device capabilities,in return the the pci is
reporting the SystemWake and DeviceWake as 5 and 4 respectively
(i.e.PowerSystemHibernate and PowerDeviceD3 resp.).But the driver which is
in between ,the mf.sys is reporting these capabilities as 0 and 0.

why does the mf.sys is doing that?

Please any one help me!!

-Thanks in advance

This behavior is by design. The was addressed in win7, but anything before that release behaves in the way you found
