Is the CDFS example code in XP IFS kit gold?

If I compile the CDFS example code in the latest IFS kit, will the
resulting driver be identical to the cdfs driver that ships with Windows
XP?

It won’t pass binary compare. The shipping driver is signed.

I was just wondering if MS excluded any source code from the cdfs
filesystem that ships with the IFS kit. Like, hacks or cheeze-ball code
that might not look favorable in a release-qualtiy filesystem.

Dont wonder. Just take what you got as it is. Nothing more, nothing less.

The source code you get in the XP IFS Kit for CDFS and FASTFAT is
exactly the same as the code that we shipped in Windows XP. We do clean
up the header comments a little bit, but all the actual code is the
same.

Does FASTFAT still include the infamous comment, “C) This request is a set or query info call (for Lou)?” Certain parties refer to this as “Hey Lou! engineering,” but I will not reveal their names in order to protect the guilty

Hence, I’m reasonably certain that most of the cheesiness is retained.
