IOPort Traps

Hi,
Does anybody know how IOPort-Traps work and how to implement them?
Where are these things used?

This is nothing that is going to be in a product but I was just curious
and would
like to get to know this mechanism.

If “IOPort - Traps” is a product or something particular, then I don’t
really know the answer. If you’re looking for a way to trap access to
an io port, see the chapter 18 (‘Debugging’) in the Intel IA-32 & Intel
64 Architecture System Programming Manual. In particular, read about DR7.
