Can anyone tell me the *file names* of the primary components that
make-up the IO Manager? In which files (exe, sys) does the *heart* of
the Io Manager reside?

Just checking Lyndon,
Downloaded the ReactOS source last week, starting to dig threw it now.
Hoping ntoskrnl is the only thing I have to dig threw… The entire
package is about 30 meg; lots of code…
Curious, what is your view on the kernel of ReactOs.com , I was thinking
even though this isn’t an MS platform, it would be good to learn from
given the fact it attempts to clone NT and implements the same API.
Your opinion would be appreciated

The I/O manager is contained in NTOSKRNL.EXE as was already said. Get the
checked build, get the symbols, get WinDbg, have fun!

It doesn’t attempt to clone it but to be binary-compatible. A big difference
if you’d ask me.
Many of the things in ROS are differently solved - however, it is a good
source of native API prototypes (if you know how to check).

May the source be with you, stranger
